NY Radio Host, The New Voice Of Black Gay Life

    Last month New York City radio station WWRL 1600AM announced its new line-up of hosts to comprise its Equality Pride Radio,  programming aimed at the city’s LGBT community.

    The station’s sole African-American host, Clay Cane, speaks from rather unique perspective — one that examines the inherent dualities of being Gay and African American.

    The Grio reports:

    “I am not tragically colored. And I am not tragically gay.” So says Clay Cane, channeling the words of legendary author Zora Neale Hurston. “When you are black and gay there is a particular duality that you live in.
