Star Power Of 2012 World Choir Games: Kirk Franklin, Bootsy, & Marvin Winans

The city is honored and excited to host the 2012 World Choir Games. Kirk Franklin will be here 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 4th.The nine-Grammy Award winner and gospel star will perform his song, “I Can” – the Official Song of the 2012 World Choir Games, at the Opening Ceremony at U.S. Bank Arena. Franklin will perform with the Cincinnati One in Song Choir.

Bootsy Collins has a spot 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 10th. The Grammy Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will serve as co-Grand Marshal for the Parade of Nations – from Duke Energy Convention Center to Fountain Square – that will signal the start of the second week of competition.

Marvin Winans can be seen 7 p.m. July 14th. A Grammy winner and a member of famed Winans family, this gospel star will sing “Oh Happy Day” with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra at the Closing Ceremony.
