Does Spanking Our Kids Perpetuate Slavery Tactics?

    If you asked your peers whether they were spanked or not as a kid, most likely they would say yes.

    A new story by the American Academy Of Pediatricians says spanking children can lead to mental and personality disorder. It was also revealed that harsh physical punishment is more common in african american homes than any other group.

    There was a recent article, called “Are Blacks Ignoring Proof That Spanking Has A Negative Impact?”, where one black woman shares her beliefs that discipline and hitting are not the same. During her interview this morning with Jacque Reid, she even went to the point of equating spanking to slavery.
