In Baltimore, Perry High School will try to start the school year again, after a student was shot yesterday.
In the lunchroom cafeteria, a student was shot and left in critical condition. The suspect shooter was taken into custody.
The shooting took place on the first day of classes, as several hundred students thought the gunfire sound was like a pop of air when opening a chip bag. Instead it was gunfire, striking a 17 year-old student, and a 15 year-old suspect was taken into custody.
Today guidance counselors are meeting to console the students and ease their fears.
