Chicago Teachers Hit The Picket Line

    Just days after their school year started, 400,000 Chicago students will be out of school indefinitely.

    Their teachers hit the strike lines today, in protest of better health benefits. This is the country’s 3rd largest school district. 30,000 teachers, and their support staff, are off the job and on the picket line.

    Aft 10 months of failed negotiations, between union and school officials, this is the first Chicago teacher strike in 25 years.
