Woman Sues Dating Website After Date Stabs Her

Online dating is becoming a growing trend in our culture. It’s very convenient to go online, and meet people in a less distracting environment versus a bar.

However, when meeting people online comes risks. Sometimes people fabricate themselves by putting up a persona that isn’t of themselves. It can be disappointing and sometimes dangerous.

Jacque Reid of the TJMS reported on a story that’ll make you pause when dating, especially online. Mary Kay Beckman is lucky to be alive, after a man she met on match.com repeatedly stabbed her with a butcher knife, and stomped her head.

Beckman is now suing the dating site for $10 million, saying the company should’ve done more to protect her.

This morning, Jacque Reid invited TV legal analyst Sonny Holston to call in, and give her take on the lawsuit. In case you missed the interview, you can listen below.
